Request for Images of Delhi

by Himanshu Verma on December 10, 2011 at 3:45 pm
Posted In: Events

Delhi is one of the oldest historic living cities of the world. Many cities, centuries and cultures have come together to create the dynamic city of contemporary Delhi, and we are taking you on a discovery of this multilayered fabric.

For launching our walks project, we’re looking to collect images of the heritage of Delhi that could illustrate some of our walks in publicity material like websites, emailers, brochures, postcards etc.

You can send us already existing photographs or volunteer to go on a walk with us to document Delhi 2011 and produce fresh work for us.

We request you to contribute towards this bank of images on the multilayered city.

If you would like to contribute, please send us your images electronically on himanshu@site.redearthindia.com along with a letter stating that you allow us to use them gratis for our promotional materials.

A few important points:

  1. We are unable to pay honorariums for use of photographs, but credit to the photographers will be provided on the publicity materials.
  2. Selection will be made based on quality of photographs and thematic relevance. We will shortlist submitted photographs and inform you accordingly.
  3. Professional and amateur photographers / photo enthusiasts are welcome to participate.
  4. Please send us high resolution pictures, at least 300 dpi, biggest size. If you have a lot of pictures you wish to send, you may upload these on a file transfer.
  5. You may send in colour or black and white photographs.
  6. Photographs must be submitted by the original photographer, who is the rightful copyright owner of the work, and please add a declaration to this effect in your covering letter.
  7. See below a list of sites that we are looking to document, we are especially looking for these currently, but if you have other photographs of other sites or other aspects of the city, you may send those as well, which we could keep in our bank of images and use as relevant.
  8. We are running against time, so send in your images asap! Many thanks!
