Sharbat is a popular summer beverage, prepared from diverse ingredients such as extracts of fruits, flowers, plants and herbs. In the age of colas and toxic aerated drinks, we seem to have forgotten the goodness of these indigenous Indian beverages which are nutritious refreshers, thirst quenchers and summer coolers, also having medicinal / ayurvedic properties. Sharbats, in all their mindboggling variety are truly natural saatvik foods.

Become a Sharbat expert in a matter of hours – it’s easier than you think! Learn to make fresh sharbats in the kitchen (without any preservatives, with mostly organic ingredients & cruelty free dairy). Participants will be introduced to basic ways of Sharbat making, a knowledge which they can apply to extend their repertoire over time. The workshop is conducted by Himanshu Verma, founder, Red Earth.

In the course of the workshop, we will make:-
* Fruit based Sharbats: Bel, Phalsa
* Grain based Sharbats: Sattus
* Pannas: Mango, Imli (Tamarind), Kishmish ka Panna
* Miscellaneous: Badaam (Almond), Gulab (Rose), Ginger- Lemon, Saunf (Aniseed)
* Yoghurt and milk based drinks: Piyush, Thandai
