Red Earth believes in supporting emerging talent in the arts. Currently we are representing a small group of emerging artists, with a special focus on painting. We believe in working with artists who are creating new intimate idioms, away from the trendiness and hype of contemporary Indian art. Most of the artists we work with borrow heavily from Indian artistic traditions in their contemporary art practice, in form or content or both, thus recreating or referencing ideals and aesthetics that have nurtured Indian art, but are largely missing from contemporary arts today.
