As the Saree Festival has become a coveted and successful event on the cultural calendar of Delhi, our project this year is to spread Saree love to other cities.

So excited to announce that The Saree Festival is travelling to Mumbai this year, it will be held at the very popular and centrally located Coomaraswamy Hall, at the Museum in the Kala Ghoda area, 4-5 November 2015.

The centrepiece of the festival will be an exposition of Sarees created in diverse media and styles, using diverse techniques and artistic vocabularies – from the traditional hand-woven to designer led interventions in weaving, haute couture sarees to graphic sarees – the Saree sans frontieres!

We are now inviting proposals for participation in the exhibition.

The festival’s Mumbai edition is around a week before Diwali – festive time!
